| Architectural designers
have long found that 3D models help clients better visualize
what the final project will look like. 3D models help the
architect better understand the ideas and needs of their clients,
allowing them to create the building that will fit the needs of
the client, the first time.
In the past hand-made models were
used. This is a time consuming process and takes valuable
time away from the design team. By using rapid prototyping
for 3D models, architects can focus on specific customer needs and
concerns. The speed at which models can be made makes it
easy to have several models created that can be shared with the
many different parties involved in the construction of the
building. Models can be created for different parts of the
structure, allowing any one particular section to be recreated
quickly.

"The model was so nice I could not wait to give it to my husband. I was going to keep it for a birthday present but decided to give it to him right away. Because of the model we found a big improvement that would have cost a lot of money to fix later, but we were able to make the correction prior to the start of the project."
